A Signature Fundraising Project by Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur

Since the first Kiwanis motor treasure hunt flagged-off by our Bapa Kiwanis, Tan Sri Khir Johari in 1984, Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur (KCKL) has, without fail, continued to organise this signature fundraising project annually to raise funds for the club’s Service Projects.

The Kiwanis Treasure Hunt has brought together members of KCKL, like-minded volunteers, donors, sponsors and fun-loving treasure hunters throughout the years with the goal of doing our bit for the community. Along the way, it has also brought joy and great friendships among all who got involved.

The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Centre, founded by KCKL in 1989 then became the main focus of the Kiwanis Treasure Hunt’s fundraising, with at least 70% of the proceeds guaranteed for the Down Syndrome centre. Today, the main bulk of the proceeds are channeled to KDSF-National Centre to cover the rising annual expenses.

The Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur is a member of a global organisation of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
